about this program
and other upcoming workshops...
Art HOPE is a grassroots community arts and healing initiative that involves collaborations with schools, health organizations, and arts groups in Maine. Established in 2004,
Art HOPE offers free creativity workshops that are dedicated
to promoting health and well being through the expressive arts for those living with cancer or other chronic illness, and the community at large. Programs are based on the simple idea that daily creative activity can enhance health and well being, celebrate living, and in many enjoyable ways inspire healing opportunities for people everyday.
In 2011 Art HOPE became a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation in Maine, and is endeavoring to build a new interactive website for expanding the program’s creative conversation and expressive arts experience, bringing it to the world community. The new website will feature the “Art HOPE Community Journal” blog and “Art HOPE Gallery", and will be a portal for expressing ideas about creativity and sharing original narrative, visual, or musical works of art. This exciting development is currently a creative work-in-progress, with the help of dedicated volunteers. Please visit our site again in the months ahead.
